It is estimated that globally we’re uploading more than 61,000 digital images per second, but five times as many likely stay buried on our phones. With Gen AI to remix, social platforms to disseminate and edit, our visual footprints are growing at faster rates than ever.

On What We Dwell is an exploration of our curatorial relationship with digital images, how we decide what to scroll past versus what we keep stored; comparing images that feel superfluous or throwaway, images that are functional, entertainment, or backdrops to our devices.

The artist elevates the everyday into fine art by archiving these images in oil. They speak to her own belief that our most precious moments are often messy, private, and rarely performative.
